I like what The Message says, “Dear friend, listen well to my words; tune your ears to my voice.” In order for a Rhema to come, we have to listen to the logos or the written Word of God.

First, don’t be thrown by the use of the word “law.” You can easily substitute “law” with the “Word of God.” The law is what they had from God, but we have the whole counsel of the Word of God. In order to receive a Rhema from the Word of God, you and I must meditate the Word of God.

One of the most important things that God reveals to us is found in verse 9, “But as it is written, eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.”

How does faith come? It comes from hearing, and hearing from the Word of God (Romans 10:17). When we read the Word of God, the logos, and mix faith with what is said, we can receive the promises of God.

Is there anyone like God? I love this scripture, and it goes along with Isaiah 44:8, “Fear you not, neither be afraid: have not I told you from that time, and have declared it?

God is a God of mercy and truth, and because of that, our sin has been purged by the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ.

The reverent fear and worshipful awe of the Lord will cause someone to hate evil.  We don’t hate evil people, but we do hate all evil.

The Apostles were going to have to get involved in taking care of the widows as some of the Grecian widows were being neglected.

God has a will and a purpose for all of us, not just King David, not just ministers, and not just Jesus.  Jesus had a purpose; 1 John 3 :8 tells us that one of the purposes of why Jesus came was to destroy the works of the devil. 

The fear of the Lord, the reverence of the Almighty, and standing in awe of our Creator have many benefits.

Notice this promise is not for everyone; it is for a certain group of people. A lot of people don’t like it when you tell them that the blessings and promises of God come with conditions.

In order to really walk after the Lord, there are things we must do. First, we have to fear Him. We must honor and reverence Him.

We all want to eat the good of the land. What does that mean? You will experience the best there is to offer where you live.

I think we must first all realize that, really, we can’t do anything of eternal value without Him.

First, I think we must realize that the will of God for our lives is not automatically done.

I think we all have to be very careful in this area not to become jaded. If you live in a country where work and help are available for everyone who can and should work (if you don’t work, you don’t eat, which is a good scriptural mentality), we can forget there are those who are really poor and need our help.

I think some people forget that one of the greatest gifts God ever gave humanity is choice. I know a lot of people just believe that God is in total control and anything that happens was just His will, whether it be good or bad.
