The reverent fear and worshipful awe of the Lord will cause someone to hate evil.  We don’t hate evil people, but we do hate all evil.

The Apostles were going to have to get involved in taking care of the widows as some of the Grecian widows were being neglected.

God has a will and a purpose for all of us, not just King David, not just ministers, and not just Jesus.  Jesus had a purpose; 1 John 3 :8 tells us that one of the purposes of why Jesus came was to destroy the works of the devil. 

The fear of the Lord, the reverence of the Almighty, and standing in awe of our Creator have many benefits.

Notice this promise is not for everyone; it is for a certain group of people. A lot of people don’t like it when you tell them that the blessings and promises of God come with conditions.

In order to really walk after the Lord, there are things we must do. First, we have to fear Him. We must honor and reverence Him.

I think we must first all realize that, really, we can’t do anything of eternal value without Him.

First, I think we must realize that the will of God for our lives is not automatically done.

I think we all have to be very careful in this area not to become jaded. If you live in a country where work and help are available for everyone who can and should work (if you don’t work, you don’t eat, which is a good scriptural mentality), we can forget there are those who are really poor and need our help.

I think some people forget that one of the greatest gifts God ever gave humanity is choice. I know a lot of people just believe that God is in total control and anything that happens was just His will, whether it be good or bad.

What are the devil’s fiery darts? These are the devil’s wiles and devices he uses against the believer.

There is for sure a crown available to every born-again believer, but how do you get it? Paul just told us, by the Holy Ghost, “I have finished my course.”

God is able! There is no problem with His ability or His willingness to deliver to us His promises, which are yes and amen in Christ Jesus. However, we do not receive from God based on His ability, but on our faith.

This reminds me of Philippians 1:6, “Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.”

Can you have faith to be healed and not get healed? Yes. The man had faith. Paul perceived it, meaning Paul, by the Holy Ghost, knew in his spirit that the man had faith.
