Understands It Not

Matthew 13:19 “When any one hears the word of the kingdom, and understands it not, then comes the wicked one, and catches away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side.”

When someone doesn’t understand the Word of God, the devil comes immediately and steals the Word of God from their heart so they cannot believe. Why is that? Because according to 2 Corinthians 4:4, the god of this world, the devil, has blinded their spiritual eyes so they are unable to see and understand.

How can that change? It is our opportunity as a believer to pray for them that the eyes of their understanding would be enlightened, and to take authority over the god of this world in their lives and bind his ability to keep them from receiving the Word of God.
