Honest and Good Heart

Luke 8:15 “But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.”

Your heart determines what the Word of God is able to produce in your life. The anointing is important, and thank God for anointed men and women who preach and teach the Word of God. The anointing on the Word and on them destroys yokes of bondage. Thank God for the Word of God, the seed that can never fail and always accomplishes what it was sent to do. Heaven and Earth will pass away, but the Word of the Lord stands forever.

That is on God’s side, but one thing He doesn’t have control of is our soil, our heart. You and I are the only ones that control what goes on in our soil. We must make sure our heart is ready to receive the seed of the Word of God. We have to remove the stones and keep the weeds out of our heart. It is not a one-time thing. It is a daily thing.

In order to have an honest and a good heart, we must continually monitor what goes into our hearts. The best way to do that is by watching our gates; the eye gate, the ear gate, and the mouth gate are vital to keeping our hearts honest and good. So, we are to be careful what we see, hear, and talk about.

The best seed in the world will not grow in soil that is not prepared. Let us keep our hearts ready for the seed of the living Word of God.
