Speaking Authority

Mark 11:23 “For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he says shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he says.”

In order for our words to change things, there are some things we must know. Your words, in order for them to be effective, must have these elements.

First, the words coming out of your mouth must be the Word of God and not the opinion of men or even facts. The Word must come out of your mouth like a double-edged sword. The Word of God must come up out of your heart. In order for the Word to work, it is essential that it is coming from the abundance of your heart. It cannot come from the mind. You are not just repeating words you have heard, but it is essential that the words come from your heart, and you must believe it.

The Word of God that comes out of your heart and out of your mouth must come out because you believe something and not because you are working on it or you think it might work. No! You must believe it. You must be fully persuaded that your declaration of faith and authority to demand that something be changed is done as you declare it from your mouth.

It is not someone thinking, “Here it goes. Let’s try this and see if it works. It worked for Brother So-and-so.” No! When you speak to the mountains in your life by authority, in faith, they will move. They have no choice but to obey the command of faith!
