Let the Logos Speak to You
John 14:10 “Believest thou not that I am in the Father, and the Father is in me? The words that I speak unto you I speak not of myself: but the Father that dwelleth in me, he doeth the works.”
The “words” that I speak is the word rhema. This is literally a word from the Word. The written Word of God can also “speak to you.” What I mean by that is it becomes alive to you, and you get a Word or revelation from the Word. The Spirit of God takes something written down that He inspired, and then the Holy Spirit reveals it to you.
This is the point that Romans 10:17 is making to you when the Word says that faith comes by hearing a Rhema Christos. The Word becomes alive to you, and you understand it, and it produces faith, enough faith that causes you to do something in correspondence to what you believe.
Thank God for the written Word of God, the logos, which is enough to put us over; but then, on top of that, when you and I receive a rhema from that Word, our faith explodes, and it causes the promises of God to be ours!
