The Logos Brings Increase

Acts 6:7 “And the word of God increased; and the number of the disciples multiplied in Jerusalem greatly; and a great company of the priests were obedient to the faith.”

After the appointment of the deacons, we see great increase come to the church in Jerusalem. We see in our verse the Logos began to increase. The written Word of God was being published in this region, and it caused a huge effect on the church, and the disciples multiplied.

The publishing, or the teaching and preaching of the written Word of God, even went into the hard places of religious circles and made a huge difference, so much so that a great number of priests were born again and became disciples of the Lord.

The written Word of God is still as powerful today as it was in the book of Acts. As we esteem the written Word of God in our lives, it will bless us, and it will also cause us to influence others for the Lord. Let us continue to get the Logos of the Word of God into our hearts and minds and then let that Word direct us in helping others and getting them to our Lord and Savior!
