WHAT’S OF REAL VALUE?

Philippians 1:10 (AMPC) So that you may surely learn to sense what is vital, and approve and prize what is excellent and of real value [recognizing the highest and the best, and distinguishing the moral differences], and that you may be untainted and pure and unerring and blameless [so that with hearts sincere and certain and unsullied, you may approach] the day of Christ [not stumbling nor causing others to stumble.]

We are talking about a Holy Ghost prayer that the Apostle Paul was inspired to give to us. We can surely pray this prayer for ourselves and see the results, but we can also take this inspired prayer and pray it for others. Who would we pray for? Those who can’t seem to figure out what the most important things in life are; those who don’t know the real value of people or what is really important and what is not. We can also pray this prayer for those who are having trouble living right. We should pray this for people who don’t seem to have it together, that are making bad choices and stumbling through life and even causing others to stumble.

God has the highest and best in mind for every one of His children, but most people don’t achieve it. The great thing is that the Holy Ghost says we can pray for one another and bring a supply of the Spirit so people can know what is really vital and what should be first place in their lives. Many people, who the devil has been working on, lose sight of what is really important and valuable, like their relationship with God and people. We can pray that the Spirit of God would show them, by opening the eyes of their understanding, so they can see. We can pray that the Lord would remove the blinders off their spiritual eyes so that the light of the Word of God can penetrate the darkness they are currently walking in.

God wants every believer to finish their set course while the devil is always trying to knock people off course. When we see someone stumbling, we don’t have to just shrug our shoulders and say, “Oh well.” Instead, we must pray for them, especially if they are in our lives, because they are stumbling through life which could cause those around them, including us, to stumble. This can be changed because when the righteous pray the Word of God over someone, tremendous power is made available. Think of someone who needs this prayer and pray it over them today. Do it now!
