Take Your Path

Ephesians 2:10 (AMPC) “For we are God’s (own) handiwork (His workmanship), recreated in Christ Jesus, (born anew) that we may do those good works which God predestined (planned beforehand) for us (taking paths which He prepared ahead of time), that we should walk in them (living the good life which He prearranged and made ready for us to live).”

Predestination is a subject that is often misunderstood, or Christians have misinterpreted. Predestination is not that whatever God’s will is, it will automatically happen, and as a human there is nothing you can do about it. No, God has given us a free will to choose in this life. He very clearly stated, “I set before you life and death and blessing and cursing,” and then He told us to choose life.

Salvation is settled. It is the will of God that no one perish, or go to hell, but people reject the salvation that God has provided to everyone. So, in that way, He predestined everyone to be saved, yet many reject their predestination and don’t receive their salvation.

In the same way, while you were in your mother’s womb, God made a great plan for you. Your destiny, your course, your life, was His decision and your discovery. It was the best possible life you could live while on the Earth. No one was predetermined to have a bad life, no, not one.

The deal is this, you have to choose the route, the path, the plan, and the purpose God has predestined for your life. You can choose not to discover it, and if that is the case, you will spend your entire life trying to make your own way and end up not satisfied and not have any or many rewards to lay at Jesus’ feet.

The way is prearranged and predestined, but it is not automatic. You and I must discover and, by faith, find the path, find the steps that have been ordered of the Lord, and walk in them.

You might think, "It's too late for me." Never! It is always Plan A with God!
