Redemption

Ephesians 1:7 “In whom we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of his grace.”

We have been purchased by Jesus Christ with His very own blood (1 Peter 1:18-19). We were not redeemed with anything natural, like silver or gold, but by the precious blood of Christ. That was the cost for your life, the precious blood of the Lamb.

We have been redeemed from the slave market of sin, from the kingdom of darkness, and from the family of the devil. We have been bought and paid for in full. The blood Jesus put on the Mercy Seat (Hebrews 9:12) for us has forever redeemed all who will receive the forgiveness that is available by His blood.

We have been redeemed from something and then, we have also been redeemed to something. We have been redeemed from being a sinner to being a son, from darkness to light, and from the devil’s family to becoming a child of the Most High God.

What a redemption. What a plan! I am so grateful this redemption has touched my entire life. I have been redeemed from sin, sickness, poverty, calamity, and any other foul thing the devil would try to send my way.

Psalm 103:4 says, “Who redeems your life from destruction: who crowns you with loving kindness and tender mercies.” We know we have been redeemed from sin and sickness, but also remember that anything the devil tries to bring to destroy your life, you can boldly say, “I have been redeemed from that.”

The Word says, “Let the redeemed of the Lord say so” (Psalm 107:2). You have to enforce your redemption through your faith and that means through your words. You have been redeemed from destruction.

Thank God for the blood of Jesus and the redemption that He bought and paid for. He did it all for us!
