Day 26 | communion

Agree with the Testimony of the Blood

Day 26 of At His Table builds on the testimony of the blood with a powerful reminder: Jesus willingly gave His life for us. Unlike Abel, whose blood cried out after a life was taken from him, Jesus chose to become the spotless Lamb, taking our blame upon Himself and allowing His blood to speak forgiveness, mercy, and redemption on our behalf.

Today's devotional looks at Hebrews 12 and 1 John 5, where Scripture describes multiple witnesses that agree concerning Jesus. Like consistent testimonies presented in a courtroom, the Spirit, the water, and the blood all point to the same truth: Jesus is who He said He is, and He accomplished what He came to do. His sacrifice isn't hearsay—God has provided testimony that confirms the finished work of Christ.

As you take communion today, consider what it means to agree with that testimony. Instead of allowing guilt, condemnation, or circumstances to speak louder, choose to align your heart with what the blood declares. Day 26 reminds us that Jesus willingly paid the price, His blood speaks forgiveness, and the witnesses agree: Jesus did it.
