Day 15 | communion

The Body Carried the Blood

Day 15 of At His Table brings our attention to the powerful connection between the body and blood of Jesus. Christ came as the spotless Lamb of God, living without sin and willingly offering His body and pouring out His blood to accomplish our redemption.

Today's devotional highlights a remarkable detail surrounding the crucifixion: not one of Jesus' bones was broken. From the instructions concerning the Passover lamb in Exodus to the prophecy in Psalms and its fulfillment in John 19, Scripture repeatedly points to this detail. Even at the cross, God's plan was being fulfilled precisely, identifying Jesus as the perfect and final sacrifice.

As you take communion today, consider the intentionality behind Christ's sacrifice. His body was willingly given, His blood was poured out, and God's redemptive plan remained unbroken from beginning to end. Day 15 invites us to see the bread and the cup with renewed appreciation—not only remembering what Jesus endured, but recognizing the victory, obedience, and perfect fulfillment represented in His sacrifice.
