BLINDERS REMOVED

2 Corinthians 4:3–4 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

As we pray for the harvest, those who are not born again, one thing is very important, and that is their spiritual eyes. This verse tells us what is going on in the unbeliever’s life. They are spiritually blind. What makes them blind? It might be better to ask, who makes them blind? The answer is Satan, the god of this world.

It is the devil himself who is causing the heathen to remain spiritually blind. When the light of the glorious gospel is spoken to them, they can't see it. We, as believers, can remedy that situation by commanding the blinders to come off their spiritual eyes.

Because the devil has spiritually blinded them, they see, think, and believe wrongly. However, when we bind the enemy in their life and command those blinders to come off, then they can see and receive.

We all need light, and Jesus is the light of the world. The gospel itself brings light. The Word of God is a lamp unto our feet and a light unto our path. When we receive revelation from the Word of God, it is like someone turning the light on.

It is time for the light to shine; and as it shines, we need to do our part in helping an unbeliever by commanding the blinders that the devil put on their eyes, and, therefore, their minds, to come off and be removed.

Then, as a result of our prayers, the Lord can send us across their path, so they are able to receive the Word of God and be saved.

The Word has given us the answer, so let’s be doers of it!
