CLOTHED WITH POWER FROM ON HIGH

Luke 24:49 (AMPC) And behold, I will send forth upon you what My Father has promised; but remain in the city [Jerusalem] until you are clothed with power from on high.

Power for clothing. That is what the Word of God says. When we allow the power of God to come upon us, it is like clothing. It is something you can wear. Did you know you can wear the power of God?

The Old Testament talks about the mantle of Elijah that fell on Elisha. It was represented in a coat. When Elisha put it on, the mantle that was on Elijah came on Elisha, and he got a double portion of the anointing that Elijah had. He did exactly double the miracles that Elijah did.

This power is being offered to us as born-again believers. This clothing came on the day of Pentecost, and it came with a rushing mighty wind and cloven tongues of fire. It is the baptism of the Holy Ghost with the evidence of speaking in other tongues. It is the power of God that the New Testament church is to be clothed in.

This piece of clothing will make you a witness of the resurrection power of the Lord Jesus Christ. This piece of clothing will help you to be bold about the things of God. This piece of clothing turned Peter into another man. He denied Jesus three times, and then after being filled with the Holy Ghost and receiving this garment of power, he stood up and preached to over three thousand people.

Let’s receive this piece of clothing, this power from on high, and walk in it everywhere we go.
