Jesus the Intercessor - Part 3

Romans 8:26 “Likewise the Spirit also helps our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.”

Jesus is ever living to intercede for us in Heaven; and then, within us, the Holy Spirit is making intercession for us. The Holy Spirit is taking hold with us when we pray and making intercession for us and also through us. He is taking hold with us, together with us, and then sometimes comes against some things that are obstructing our path.

What does an intercessor do? He approaches the king on behalf of someone else. In this case, there are times when we don’t know what we should pray for as we ought. How could that be? It’s when we don’t know the future, when things are hidden from us, and when we just don’t naturally totally understand everything going on.

So, the Holy Ghost intercedes for us. As He, the Holy Spirit, intercedes for us, it comes out in other tongues and sometimes with groanings that we may not understand, but God the Father does understand. When we pray in other tongues, we pray out mysteries to God. I am so grateful that God is the solver of all the mysteries in my life.
