Press Toward the Mark

Philippians 3:14 (KJV)

“I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.”

Pressing means that there is something pushing in the opposite direction. The devil and this world system are pressing against you, so you have to press back. It means to move forcefully toward. You can’t let anything get in your way. You have to move every mountain that tries to keep you from running your race.

The Lord has ordered your steps, but the devil tries to put obstacles in front of you. If you don’t move forcefully forward, you will be pushed back. You also can’t be in neutral. Those who just go with the flow of life will be pushed out of the will of God.

You must move forcefully toward the plan of God for your life. In order to move forcefully forward, the Word tells us to lay aside every weight and the sin which does so easily beset us, and to look to Jesus only, the author and finisher of our faith. It is time for you to move forward. The plan of God awaits you.
