Is He Priority?

Deuteronomy 4:29 “But from there you will search again for the Lord your God. And if you search for Him with all your heart and soul, you will find Him.”

Who is God to you? Is He the Lord of your life – the One who is the Ruler, the One who tells you how to live and you follow? Or is He a genie – there to serve you and grant wishes like those from Aladdin? Is He your Father,  comforter when you need Him, always there to guide you and direct you, someone to take care of you?

The choice of what He is to you is solely up to you. What priority does He take in your life? He’s the Creator, we forget that sometimes.

Jeremiah 17:7–8 (NLT) says: “But blessed are those who trust in the Lord and have made the Lord their hope and confidence. They are like trees planted along a riverbank, with roots that reach deep into the water. Such trees are not bothered by the heat or worried by long months of drought. Their leaves stay green, and they never stop producing fruit.”

A lot of the time, we treat Him as our last resort. When you read this scripture, it clearly says He’s our confidence: the feeling or belief that one can rely on someone or something; firm trust. Don’t let your relationship with Him end with you accepting Christ. We are to keep going in our relationship with Him, leaning on Him more and more until He is our main support, like He’s carrying us.

Make Him your #1 priority.
