God of All Peace!

Romans 16:20 “And the God of peace shall bruise Satan under your feet shortly. The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you. Amen.”

He is the God of all peace. There are two kinds of peace. The first kind of peace is peace with God. Jesus abolished the enmity between us and God. We have peace with God because the blood and the body of our Lord Jesus took care of it. God is not at war with you or mankind. Jesus is our peace (Ephesians 2:13-17). We can clearly see what Isaiah prophesied about concerning our peace with God in Isaiah 53:5 (AMPC) “But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our guilt and iniquities; the chastisement [needful to obtain] peace and well-being for us was upon Him, and with the stripes [that wounded] Him we are healed and made whole.” Jesus was chastised, whipped, and beaten so that we could have peace with the Father. It is forever settled.

Jesus has made a way to the Father for us; and when we make Jesus Lord of our life, we are at peace with God. The second kind of peace is the peace of God. The peace of God is available to every child of God. Philippians 4:6-7 tells us that we are not to worry; instead, we should pray. When we pray in faith, we know that the Lord has answered us; therefore, there is no need to worry. Isaiah 26:3 tells us to keep our minds stayed on him so we can remain in perfect peace. Jesus said something that astounds and thrills me every time I read it. In John 14:27, Jesus said, “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world gives, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.” He left us His peace, not a part of it but all of it. What Jesus walked in on the Earth in His ministry and the peace He lived in is ours today. If we will receive that peace, we can then follow His command to us of not letting our hearts be troubled and not letting fear near our lives.

In this world that is full of fear, we have the peace of God. We have been given it all through Jesus Christ. We have peace with God, and we have the peace of God. Let’s enjoy this peace and walk in it every day.
