SHOUT, MAGNIFY, AND PROSPER!
Psalm 35:27 Let them shout for joy, and be glad, that favor my righteous cause: yea, let them say continually, Let the LORD be magnified, which hath pleasure in the prosperity of his servant.
We are told to shout unto God with a voice of triumph (Psalm 47:1). We are told to rejoice with joy unspeakable and full of glory (1 Peter 1:8). When we shout for joy, gladness comes. Gladness is the state of joyfulness. As you shout for joy, gladness takes over your soul. No matter the current situation, no matter how you currently feel, if you release joy from the inside (It’s in there; it is a fruit of the spirit), gladness will come.
Some translations say that David’s righteous cause was his vindication of being found innocent. Others have said it refers to being in favor of what God was doing. Whichever it was, I know that because we are righteous, we have been vindicated, declared innocent. We always need to like what God likes and hate what God hates. That is when we will have favor with God and man and that God’s favor will surround us like a shield and bring blessings our way.
The speaking of the Word of God is so very important from confessing your salvation to speaking the Word and letting the Word be a sword that comes out of your mouth. Get your heart full of God’s Word, so that it comes out of the abundance of your heart. Life and death are in the power of your tongue. Speak the Word only! When you magnify something, you make it bigger. You can magnify the problem, or you can magnify God’s Word which is your answer. It seems that what you talk about and the amount of time you talk about it magnifies it. Choose to magnify God. Don’t talk about your mountain. Talk to your mountain using God’s Word like a hammer.
The last part of this verse shows us the heart of the Father to us. He takes pleasure in your prosperity. He is not just ok with it. He takes pleasure, gets joyful over your prosperity. God wants you blessed, so you can be a blessing. Jesus became poor so that you could become rich (2 Corinthians 8:9). As a Father, He wants to see you blessed. He wants to meet all your needs and give you the desires of your heart.
Today’s verse tells us what to do; shout, be glad, and speak His Word continually. This verse says what God will do. He will favor your righteous causes, and He will take pleasure in your prosperity!
