What Jesus Has Done
Hebrews 12:24 - to Jesus the Mediator of the new covenant, and to the blood of sprinkling that speaks better things than that of Abel.
Are you grateful for Jesus? Let’s just take a minute and remember some of the things Jesus did for us. He saved you. He paid your eternal debt. He became sin so you could become righteous. He is your Healer. He took stripes on His back and took our sickness and disease. Now you can walk in health and wholeness. He is our Provider. He became poor so you could become rich. He is the Baptizer of the Holy Spirit. You can now be filled with the fullness of God’s Spirit.
Because sin calls for judgment, mankind was in opposition to God. So, God sent a mediator between Him and man, the man Christ Jesus. A mediator by definition brings two opposing sides to an agreement. There is only one mediator between us and God, and that is Jesus. He came and took the penalty of our sin. We were separated from God, and Jesus brought us together. Job said it this way, “I have no daysman,” or “I have no go-between.” We do; His name is Jesus.
