Choose Peace

Psalm 72:7 (NKJV)
“In His days the righteous shall flourish, And abundance of peace, Until the moon is no more.”

Walking with God daily produces a peace in our lives that isn’t found anywhere else.

As we walk with Him, we are meant to flourish and live in the abundance of His peace. Yet here’s the problem: many people don’t experience the peace Jesus died to give them — not because it isn’t available, but because they choose to focus their attention on things that disrupt peace rather than nurture it. What we fix our eyes on throughout the day either feeds our peace or steals it.

I want to encourage all of us to take regular breaks from social media and our phones. Let’s be intentional about giving our attention to God and His Word so we can walk in the peace that Jesus died to give us.

Social media has a way of stealing the peace of God from our hearts by constantly drawing our focus to crisis after crisis.

But friends, you weren’t created to carry the weight of the world. You were made to live in the peace of God. That peace is available — but you have to choose it over the noise and turmoil of this world.
