NEVER RETURNS VOID

Isaiah 55:11 So shall my word be that goes forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.

The written Word of God that we have is the logos. The Bible, the Word of God, came from God; it came right from His mouth. He moved on holy men of old. The Spirit of the living God inspired these men to pen the logos, which became the written Word of God. In order for the Word of God to be effective in your life, you have to know who it came from. It didn’t come from a man; it came from the very mouth of God. You can trace every scripture back to God Himself. In 1 Thessalonians 2:13 it says, “For this cause also thank we God without ceasing, because, when you received the Word of God which you heard of us, you received it not as the word of men, but as it is in truth, the Word of God, which effectually works also in you that believe.” In order for people to really receive the Word of God, they must realize that it is God talking to them. When you can trace every word back to Him, it will give you faith to receive it.

When you receive the seed of the Word of God, you can be confident about this: this Word that came from God’s mouth will never be void of power. When believed, this Word from God will accomplish what it says. I like to say it like this: the DNA that is in the Word, the logos, will produce what it says, like a tomato seed produces tomatoes, like an orange seed produces oranges. Whatever the Word says, there is power within that seed to bring it to pass. When you and I receive this living Word that has proceeded out of the mouth of God, and when we put it in our heart and mouth, it produces great and awesome things.

There is never a problem with the Word. If we are not seeing what the Word of God says, we have to look somewhere else for the problem, remembering this: the written Word of God is the will of God. Experience doesn’t determine the will of God; the written Word determines the will of God. When we properly handle, honor, respect, and plant this seed, the Word, it always produces, and it will always prosper in the thing that it was sent to do.
