Be Reconciled to God
2 Corinthians 5:19-20 (NLT) “For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people’s sins against them. God gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation. So, we are Christ’s ambassadors and God is making His appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, “Come back to God!””
We are intercessors who approach the King to plead the case of those who are lost. We are sending laborers into the harvest field when we pray. We are commanding blinders to come off their spiritual eyes so they can receive the glorious light of the gospel.
We also have been commissioned by the Lord of the harvest to go as a laborer ourselves with a word of reconciliation. He is sending us as His ambassadors into the harvest field. An ambassador is someone sent to live in another nation and represent the nation sending them to the country they now live in.
You are a representative of Heaven; you are Heaven’s ambassadors. As an ambassador from your sending nation (Heaven), you have been given a message of reconciliation. The message is, “Be reconciled to God, come back to God, and be restored back to the favor of God.”
We must intercede for the people, and we must go into the harvest field with this glorious message of reconciliation. When we do, God will give us a word in due season that will refresh the weary.
The main message here is that Jesus loves them, and He wants to restore them back to the Father.
