I FINISHED IT

John 17:4 I have glorified thee on the earth: I have finished the work which thou gavest me to do.

If we want to glorify God, then we have to finish our assignment. We must finish the race that has been set before us. I know we have talked a lot about finishing, but I want you to know how important it is to God that you and I finish the course laid out before us. How you and I spend eternity depends on it.

What do I mean by that? We know we are not saved by works, but by faith in the resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ, and that we will spend eternity with the Lord. So, there are no works in being saved, but there are works that come after salvation that will determine how your eternity will be spent. What you do with your life here and now will affect what happens for you in eternity.

The key is finishing the work He gave you to do. Everyone’s work is different. It includes what you do in the natural, in your career, in your community, and especially in your church and in the body of Christ.

Wouldn’t it be a shame to have been born again for a very long time, had a decent life on Earth, and then get to Heaven and not have any or many rewards? You must find out your God work, your God call, and your God place here on Earth. Find out about it right now so you can do it.

How do you glorify God here on the Earth? Yes, you worship Him, tithe, come to church, and witness, but in context with this verse, Jesus said, “I finished the work you assigned me.” So, to truly glorify God on the Earth, you must finish what God has assigned you to do.

You cannot finish what you do not know. You cannot finish what you do not start. You cannot finish what you do not continue. You must find out what it is and then start, stay with it, and finish your assignment. When you do that, no one can stop you or keep you from hearing, “Well done,” except you.

Let’s glorify God on the Earth.
