WHO IS THE FATHER OF US ALL

Romans 4:16 (KJV)

“Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all.”

Abraham is our father in the faith. We have become his children and his heirs. We have a right to all that was promised to him by God. We, as the Scripture says, are heirs according to the promise (Galatians 3:29).

Jesus became a curse for us so that the blessing of Abraham would come upon those who believe. You can find many of the blessings and the curses in Deuteronomy 28. You are blessed coming in and going out. You are the head and not the tail. You are above and never beneath. Everything you set your hand to will be blessed. It also includes physical healing. Jesus became the curse so that you could walk in the blessing of Abraham.

When you believe in Jesus, you automatically become an heir of Abraham, and you can now receive the blessings and be free from the curse. Everything God promised Abraham is yours; now all you have to do is receive it by faith. No more curse for you—only the blessing. The blessing of the Lord makes rich and adds no sorrow with it.

Thank God for Abraham, our father in the faith. What a great example of faith in impossible situations—realizing that he and Sarah were not perfect, but just like us. With his faults and all, he was able to show us how to believe God and receive the promise. You too can receive the promise!
