THAT IT MIGHT BE BY GRACE

Romans 4:16 (KJV)

“Therefore it is of faith, that it might be by grace; to the end the promise might be sure to all the seed; not to that only which is of the law, but to that also which is of the faith of Abraham; who is the father of us all.”

Grace, in this case, is what God is offering to us freely. We simply have to receive this free gift. To us it is free, although Jesus paid a very high price for it.

There are many aspects of grace, but this grace has to do with receiving the free gift of salvation that places you into a position you did not earn. You, through believing in Jesus, by grace through faith are saved, and have become an heir of God and a joint heir with the Lord Jesus Christ.

You don’t have to earn your position as a son. It was bestowed upon you because you believed that Jesus has been raised from the dead and you received Him as your Savior. God, from His goodness, compassion, and mercy, offered this free gift to you. You could not earn it, and now you cannot earn the benefits of your salvation.

You are not working to position yourself to receive anything from God. The only works you do are the good works which He prearranged for you to do, and those determine your rewards in heaven. Thank God for the grace of God. Receive all the free gifts He has for you.
