HE WILL DELIVER
Psalm 91:3 (NKJV) Surely He shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the perilous pestilence.
I like the start of this scripture, “Surely.” Surely means without any failure. And on God’s side, we are already delivered. Jesus has delivered us from all the power of the enemy. Anything the devil tries on us, we have this promise, “Surely, He shall deliver you.” If we are not delivered, it is not on God’s end. It’s that we are missing a piece of knowledge and revelation. How do we get more knowledge and revelation? Only one way, feeding on the Word of God. Here is another promise along this line. In 2 Peter 2:9, it says that the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptation. No matter what the trap of the devil is, no matter how long you have dealt with it, the answer is faith in God’s promises. He shall deliver you, and He knows how to deliver you. We are not stuck in the devil’s traps. The Psalmist said that God shall deliver you from the snare of the fowler, and any trap the devil might set for you. The Lord does deliver, is delivering, and will always deliver you out of any trap the enemy has for you. Make no mistake about it, the devil is setting traps for each and every one of us on a regular basis. He knows how to poke our flesh, he knows how to get us out of love, and he knows what really gets to us. We must know something too. We must know that God shall and that He knows how to deliver us. This scripture also says that the Lord shall deliver us from any perilous pestilence. What is that? Perilous, of course, means dangerous. This is a disease that has the following attributes, spreading, sweeping, rushing upon, contagious, infectious, grievous, and it endangers anyone who comes near it, but we have His promise. He has delivered us, and He knows how to deliver us from any pandemic, epidemic, or anything else they might call it. The Lord knows how to get you through it. He may have different ways for different people to get through it, so we must each be led. But one thing I know is, if we believe the Word, if we follow the Holy Ghost, He shall deliver you from every trap and any perilous pestilence.
