Exposed, but not contained

Day 4 of At His Table focuses on a powerful truth about Jesus' earthly life: although He experienced every kind of temptation common to humanity, He never gave in to sin. Growing from childhood into adulthood, Jesus fully entered the human experience while remaining the spotless Lamb of God, perfectly qualified to become the sacrifice for our redemption.

This devotional reminds us that temptation itself is not sin. Like Jesus, we may face struggles, desires, and moments of testing, but through His finished work, sin no longer has dominion over those who belong to Him. Because Christ overcame every temptation without compromise, He is able to strengthen, comfort, and help us overcome as well.

As you reflect during communion, remember that Jesus didn't remain distant from our struggles, He entered them and emerged victorious. His victory is now our hope, offering both encouragement and confidence that through Him, we have the power to resist temptation and walk in the freedom He purchased for us.
