RESULTS OF YOUR WORDS
Psalm 107:2 Let the redeemed of the Lord say so, whom he hath redeemed from the hand of the enemy.
To me, “Let the redeemed say so,” has a lot to do with our daily talk and the talking we do within. It’s less of an on-purpose confession and more of what just comes out of our heart and mouth daily. For God to move in our lives, I think this is one of the most important aspects. The Bible says, “Out of the abundance of your heart your mouth speaks,” so, therefore, you are saying what you believe on a daily and regular basis. In other words, it is your talk, what you say to your family, friends, co-workers, and what you say to strangers. If the only time you talk “faith” is at church, God doesn’t have much to work with. There is just not a lot for Him to confirm. Your regular talking, what you say, is what you really believe. Let the redeemed of the Lord say so. So, let’s fill our lives talking about what the Lord has redeemed us from and what He says is now ours.
In James 3:4-5, we see that the tongue is likened unto the rudder on a ship. That small rudder gives direction for that ship. That rudder is relatively small compared to the size of the ship. In the same way, your tongue is small and to some people, our words seem insignificant and say, “What does it matter? They are just words.” But God has said, “Life and death are in the power of the tongue,” so He is right, and they are wrong. Your words do steer your actions; what a man thinks will eventually become words and actions and that is why words are so powerful. What should we do? Let the redeemed say so. Just talk the Word, get your heart so full that God’s Word comes out.
